Guacamole is a Superbowl tradition for the Vandy Fam! Our Superbowl menu always tends to be on the Mexican side of the flavor profile. šŸˆ šŸ‡²šŸ‡½šŸŒ®


My bff, @aws0510 originally taught my how to make guacamole in college. Being from NJ, guacamole was an exotic delicacy to me. My TX gal hooked me up! šŸ„‘


These days the entire Vandy fam is hooked on guacamole. And I've perfected my own recipe over the years. šŸ’š


Avocados are a healthy source of fat. And cilantro is one of the most amazing superfood greens you can add to your foods. It can aid in the chelation of heavy metals and supports your body's natural detox systems. 🌱


Recipe:

-Three avocados smashed

-One clove of grated garlic

-Juice of half a lime

-Chopped cilantro

-One finely chopped jalepeno

-One chopped white onion

-Salt


I don't add tomatoes to my guacamole. I have an auto-inflammatory issue, and too many nightshades causes my inflammation to soar. šŸ”„ I also find šŸ… waters down the guac.


Also, pro tip from @aws0510... Put your avocado pit in your guacamole to make it last longer! šŸ„‘
