10 months into this pandemic, and we are all spending a lot of time with the same few people... Hopefully you are hunkering down with those you love most.

But as human begins, we were not created to spend this much time with just a handful of people or worse, spending it completely alone.

I used to love to spend quality time with my immediate family. I looked forward to the things we would plan together! Most days, my girls were at school, husband was at work... and we'd all come together for quality time on the weekends or during the weeknights when time allowed.

Now, we're together all.the.time. Homeschooling, working from home, not going anywhere outside our neighborhood, and staying away from the majority of the rest of our family and friends has taken a toll on our family!

I miss craving our family quality time and looking forward to it. Now, its all quantity time. All.the.time.

Family traditions matter, even though they might look a little different this year. Sadly, out family isn't taking the time to make as many special moment memories that we used to.

But this holiday season has reminded me to make time for the quality time - even if we are all together for quantity time all the flipping live long day. At least we are together, and for that we should be grateful!

Finding time to incorporate the quality time will be easier if you are making time to take care of yourself. Take time away from those you are quarantining with. Schedule time alone - especially if you have small children in the house! This is crucial if you want to look forward to the times you will spend all together creating memories - quality time!

One of my favorite ways to spend quality time together during the holidays is our family's quiet tree time tradition. What are your family's fave ways to spend quality time together?
